The trailer of the Nitesh Tiwari directorial Ramayana has been making headlines ever since its release earlier this morning. While many praised the performances of Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, and more, fans were confused when they couldn’t identify the actor portraying Lord Vishnu in the film. This has caused many to reach out on social media and here’s all you need to know!

Who Plays Lord Vishnu In Ramayana Film?

Many social media users believe that the role of Lord Vishnu is being played by Saurabh Raaj Jain who is known for his epic portrayal of Lord Krishna in the TV series, Mahabharata. Due to his previous portrayal of this mythologizing character, many on the internet have led to draw a visual comparison between him and the Lord Vishnu shown in the Ramayana trailer. On the other hand, another section of the internet is convinced that the role is played by the famous South star, Mahesh Babu. It is important to note that Mahesh Babu is currently gearing up for the release of his film Varanasi by SS Rajamouli, which is also inspired by the Indian mythology and features him as Lord Rama in a sequence from the Ramayana.

Meanwhile, another possibility points to this role being played by none other than Ranbir Kapoor himself. This possibility rose after it was confirmed that he would be playing multiple roles in the film including that of Lord Rama and Parashurama. During a previous interaction, Kapoor stated that both Lord Rama and Parashurama are avatars of Lord Vishnu which has led to many fans believe that the role of Lord Vishnu will also be played by him. But the trailer itself hasn’t cleared this and now fans believe that Ranbir Kapoor would be essaying this role.
