Who Is Shakeela?
Shakeela was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in a Muslim family. Unfortunately, she could not reportedly complete her school leaving certificate examination. For the unevsred, she is an actor who has worked in B-grade, soft pornographic and Malayalam films. At the age of 18, Shakeela debuted in the softcore pornographic film titled Playgirls. It was the film Kinnara Thumbikal that made her a popular actor in Kerala. After this, she starred in multiple films that fell into the said genre. She is regarded as a liberated woman who was unafraid to embrace and express her s*xuality despite social norms, at a time when Kerala’s cinema was largely hero-centric. Her films were dubbed in almost all the Indian languages along with a few foreign languages, including Chinese, Sinhala and more. In 2002, she announced that she would no longer be a part of B-grade films. Shakeela has also appeared in family character roles across Tamil, Kannada, and more language projects. Shakeela recently shared a YouTube video in which she revealed undergoing a Rs 3 lakh neck surgery, after which she was asked to wear a neck collar until she recovered. Shakeela told her audience that she would spend many hours lying on her side while playing games and watching videos. She also asked parents not to give their kids a phone and urged them to use the phone only for important things.
