Among them, a fresh face made her debut this year. And we are talking about Roopi Gill. Her film Chardikala premiered at the Marché du Film, and she recently walked the red carpet. The pictures are all over the internet, and here’s what you need to know about her.

Roopi Gill’s Cannes Debut!

Roopi Gill made her Cannes debut this year for her Chardikala, which also features Ammy Virk. She represented “Punjab di Mitti” on the Cannes red carpet and wore a gorgeous traditional outfit. The pictures from the red carpet left everyone stunned, and the addition of the Indian jewellery amped up the look. The aesthetic pictures from the French Riviera won hearts on the internet.

Who Is Roopi Gill?

Roopi Gill is predominantly a popular Punjabi actor and model. She made her acting debut with Ashke in 2018, and it was directed by Amberdeep Singh. The actor received a lot of praise for her performance, but was not nominated at the Punjab Film Awards. While that was for a supporting role, in no time, Roopi Gill got her lead role in Laiye Je Yaarian, and then she later bagged another film titled Vadda Kalakar. She appeared in more Punjabi films like Maa Da Ladla and Bibi Rajni, among others.
