What To Watch In The First Weekend Of June: ‘The Boys 3’, ‘Prithviraj’, ‘Major’, ‘Aashram 3’, ‘Belfast’,  And More

That’s why we took the effort to list down all films and series that have been released this week for you to binge on. Let’s take a look at all the things you can watch this weekend.

1. Real Housewives of Dubai Season 1 (Hayu)

This series delves into the lives of a group of housewives of Dubai as they navigate their relationships and careers along with their lavish and wealthy lifestyles. It’s released on Hayu on June 1.

2. Belfast (BookMyShow Stream)

Releasing on BookMyShow Stream on June 3, this 94th Academy Award-winning film follows the story of a young boy of a working-class family during The Troubles in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Starring Caitríona Balfe, Judi Dench, Jamie Dornan, Ciarán Hinds, Colin Morgan and Jude Hill, this film released on January 21, 2022, and is all set for an OTT release now.

3. The Boys Season 3 (Amazon Prime Video)

The third season of this superhero action fiction series starring Karl Urban, Jack Quaid and Antony Starr is all set to hit our screens on June 3. It will premiere on the OTT platform Amazone Prime Video.

3. Aashram Season 3 (MX Player)

Season 3 of this crime drama web series directed by Prakash Jha, starring Bobby Deol, Aaditi Pohankar, Darshan Kumar, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Esha Gupta, Tushar Pandey, Anupriya Goenka, Adhyayan Suman, Vikram Kochhar, Tridha Choudhury, Rajeev Siddhartha, Sachin Shroff, Anurita Jha, Parinitaa Seth, Jahangir Khan, Kanupriya Gupta, Preeti Sood and Navdeep Tomar is all set to release on the OTT platform MX Player on June 3. It will continue the story of Baba Nirala aka Monty.

4. Jungle Cry (Lionsgate Play)

This 2020 film is based on the true story of 12 underprivileged, orphan kids from Odisha’s Kalinga Institute who go on to win the International Junior Rugby Tournament, in the U14 category, held in the UK. Directed by Sagar Ballary, it stars Abhay Deol.

5. Major (Theatres)

This 2022 biographical action film directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka and produced by Sony Pictures International Productions, G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment, and A+S Movies follows the life story of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, an army officer who was martyred in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Starring Adivi Sesh, Saiee Manjrekar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murali Sharma this film will hit the theatres on June 3.

6. Samrat Prithviraj (Theatres)

Starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar, Samrat Prithviraj is all set to hit the big screen near us on June 3. It also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana and Sakshi Tanwar in key roles. It has been directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films. ICYMI, it’s about the Rajput warrior and king Prithviraj Chauhan of the Chauhan dynasty.

7. Vikram: Hitlist (Theatres)

Starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, this multi-lingual action-thriller is set to hit the theatres on June 3. Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, this film is produced by Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran.

8. Downton Abbey: A New Era (Theatres)

Directed by Simon Curtis, written and co-produced by Julian Fellowes alongside Gareth Neame and Liz Trubridge, this film is based on Downton Abbey by Julian Fellowes. Starring Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Maggie Smith, Michelle Dockery, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter and Phyllis Logan, this film will hit the theatres near us on June 3.

9. KGF: Chapter 2 (Amazon Prime Video)

This second instalment of period action film KGF, titled KGF: Chapter 2 directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur is all set to release on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on June 3. It stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty and Prakash Raj.
