What To Watch This Week Of March 4 To 10: Shaitaan, Maharani S3, Showtime, And More

We’re already into the third month of 2024, and the speed with which the year is passing by is quite overwhelming. Well, but hame kya because we have our list of films to find our escape from the monotony of the world. Zyaada ho gaya? Okay, but the first week of March has some intriguing releases ahead especially if you love thrillers like me. From Ajay Devgn starrer Shaitaan to the OTT release of Katrina Kaif starrer Merry Christmas, bookmark this list so you don’t miss out on the good stuff.

Shaitaan (Theatre)

The trailer of Shaitaan starring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan and  Jyothika blew my mind. Directed by Vikas Behl, the film’s trailer held my interest within seconds. The battle between good and evil, promising some powerful performances by the cast can give you goosebumps. Shaitaan is all set to hit the theatres on March 8, and we cannot wait to watch it. Don’t miss this one!

Maharani Season 3 (Sony LIV)

The much-awaited season of the political drama Maharani starring Huma Qureshi,  Inaamulhaq, Sohum Shah and Amit Sial in lead roles is finally going to be released this week. The new season looks more powerful in terms of characters and storyline, and the twist will only unfold on March 7.

Showtime (Disney Plus Hotstar)

Directed by  Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar,  Showtime is definitely for you if you are curious to know about the world of films, what goes into making and all the politics that happen behind the scenes. It has an interesting concept and stars a bunch of talented actors like Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Mouni Roy, Mahima Makwana,  Rajeev Khandelwal, Shriya Saran, Vijay Raaz and Lilette Dubey, among others.

Damsel (Netflix)

Millie Bobby Brown and Ray Winstone starrer Damsel is about a damsel who agrees to marry a young prince but later discovers that the marriage was a sham. The movie quickly turns scary when the damsel realises that the prince married her only to sacrifice her. It will release on March 8.

Lal Salaam (Netflix)

Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s directorial Lal Salaam stars Rajinikanth, Vishnu Vishal, Vikranth and Vignesh among other actors. The movie is a story about the friendship between a Hindu and Muslim man and how they keep their differences aside to live comfortably but their bond gets affected when a political leader’s son incites communal disharmony. The film will be released on Netflix on March 8.

Tera Kya Hoga Lovely (Theatres)

Randeep Hooda and Ileana D’Cruz starrer Tera Kya Hoga Lovely also releases this week. It is a story that revolves around a girl Lovely who is unable to find a suitor because of her dark-complexion. However, her kismat changes when a handsome cop (Randeep Hooda) falls in love with Lovely while investigating a robbery case in her house. The film is scheduled to release on March 8.

Hanu-Man (Zee5)

Teja Sajja starrer Hanu-Man directed by Prasanth Varma had a great box office collection and will release on March 8 on Zee5.

The Gentlemen (Netflix)

The 2024 film is a spin-off of the 2019 film, The Gentlemen. This one is directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Theo James in the lead role.  This drama series consists of 8 episodes that releases on March 7.

Merry Christmas (Netflix)

Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi starrer thriller Merry Christmas directed by Sriram Raghavan is finally releasing on the OTT platform. The intriguing suspense drama that beautifully explores the dynamics between two strangers will be released on March 8 and is a must-watch.

The Regime (Jio Cinema)

Stephen Frears and Jessica Hobbs directed series stars Kate Winslet, Martha Plimpton, Andrea Riseborough and Matthias Schoenaerts Hugh Grant. Kate Winslet plays the role of a chancellor who finds her power back after a soldier comes into her life. If you like political dramas, then this one’s for you. The series drops on March 4.
