What To Watch This Week Of November 28th To December 4th: ‘Qala’, ‘Freddy’, ‘An Action Hero’, And More

Hello and welcome to another week full of work, life, family, friends, outings and of course, some amazing releases. Did you know some 33 movies are releasing this week across Indian languages? But don’t let that confuse you. We’ve got you covered. This week brings with it some anticipated theatrical releases including HIT: The 2nd Case, Ayushmann Khurrana’s An Action Hero, Violent Night and Snowman. It also brings some great thrillers like the Kartik Aaryan starrer Freddy on Disney+ Hotstar, Willow on Disney+ Hotstar, and the Tripti Dimri and Babil Khan starrer psychological drama Qala on Netflix. But, when and how can you watch all these?

What To Watch This Week Of November 28 – December 4:

1. The Creature Cases – Netflix 

This animated series is about special agents Sam and Kit. They trek around the world to solve the animal kingdom’s many mysteries using their sleuthing skills, science facts and cool gadgets. You can watch this fun series with your kids on Netflix from November 29 onwards.

2. Crime Scene: The Texas Killing Fields – Netflix

This is a documentary about the homicides that began in 1983 in Texas along Interstate 45. It began with the murder of young Laura Miller and quickly spread leading to numerous more young girls going missing and being later discovered dead. Who is killing them all? What is his or her motive? Will we get our answers? Watch this thrilling documentary on Netflix, from November 29 onwards.

3. Willow – Disney+ Hotstar 

Our wait is over, Willow’s long-awaited sequel series is here. This new series is set years after the original movie and will introduce a new band of adventurers. Now, these adventurers must face their inner demons and visit places beyond their imagination to save everything and everyone they know/ Go stream this on Disney+ Hotstar from November 30 onwards. 

4. Qala – Netflix

This movie goes beyond the veil of talent and the passion for music to discover the story of a famous singer and her fall from the throne. What caused this fall? Could it be something supernatural? Will she be able to get back up? Catch her story on Netflix, from December 1 onwards.

5. India Lockdown – Zee5

You can relive the chaos and horrors of the Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown in the upcoming Madhur Bhandarkar film. It depicts four parallel untold stories and the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic. Watch this amazing movie on Zee5, from December 2 onwards. 

6. Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules – Disney+ Hotstar 

Based on the popular kids’ book, Diary Of A Wimpy Kid. This movie is about Greg Heffley and his older brother Rodrick, who are back in middle school after summer vacation when their parents decide to help them find a bond. Let’s witness if the parents will succeed or not. Stream this on Disney+ Hotstar, from December 2 onwards.

7. Freddy – Disney+ Hotstar 

Freddy is a romantic thriller, starring Kartik Aaryan and Alaya F. This film chronicles the life of an innocent-looking man, Freddy, who is a dentist by the day but a murderer at night. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, Freddy will be released on Disney+ Hotstar, watch this from December 2 onwards.

8. Scrooge: A Christmas Carol – Netflix 

It is a heartfelt retelling of the classic Charles Dickens story. This animated movie depicts the exploits of miserly old Ebenezer Scrooge, who is later visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley and the spirits of Christmas past, present and future. Why have the spirits come to him? Does Mr Scrooge learn the error of his ways? Watch this on Netflix from December 2 onwards.

9. Lady Chatterley’s Lover – Netflix

Lady Chatterley falls out of love with her husband following a war injury and begins a torrid affair. She falls deeply in love with the gamekeeper on her husband’s country estate. Later begins to uncover her own internal biases. Let’s find out what our Lady Chatterley goes through. Stream this movie on Netflix from December 2 onwards.

10. An Action Hero – Theatres 

This movie is about a youth Icon, a superstar, an action Hero, Maanav. He was at the peak of his career when an accident forced him to go into hiding. Is he guilty? What did Maanav do? Will he be found out? To find out, watch the movie in theatres from December 2 onwards.

11. Violent Night – Theatres 

It’s an action-heavy Christmas Eve for this family as some mercenaries break into their compound. They take everyone hostage inside the compound. However, the mercenaries weren’t prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus. Find out if Santa Claus can rescue everyone. Catch this movie in your nearest theatres from December 2 onwards. 

12. Snowman – Theatres 

A Punjabi feature film, it is a story of revenge. When the Canadian police apprehend a man, whom they believe to be a notorious serial killer. The wife wants revenge and decides to make a plan and go for it. Will she succeed in getting her revenge? Watch this exciting movie in theatres from December 2 onwards. 

13. Riches – Prime Video 

When Stephen Richards, who had built a cosmetics empire, suffers a stroke, then starts the mayhem. The secrets and lies of his family rise to the surface and the future of his multi-million-pound company is at stake. To find out what happens next, catch the story on Prime Video from December 2 onwards.

14. HIT: The 2nd Case – Theatres  

This is an upcoming action thriller film in Telugu language, written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu. It is the second instalment in The HIT Verse. In the movie, a cool cop, Krishna Dev, comes across a terrifying case and finds himself solving the gruesome murder that shook the entire city. Coincidentally the case in the movie has a lot of similarities with the recent Delhi Shraddha murder case. Watch this thrilling movie in theatres, from December 2 onwards.

15. Gold – Theatres

This movie, directed by Alphonse Puthren, digs in deep and brings about a never-seen-before mystery with an exciting star cast including Nayanthara and Prithviraj Sukumaran. It also merges comedy with a thriller in a fabulous way. Watch this movie in the theatres, from December 1 onwards.
