Vivek Agnihotri Calls FIR Against Ranveer Singh Stupid, Says It Shows Conservative Thinking Of Society
Ranveer Singh has stirred up a storm ever since pictures from his nude photoshoot went viral on social media. The pictures faced heavy criticism from fans on the internet and some even started a meme fest using pictures from the shoot. Then there were celebs who even went ahead and either recreated the shoot or morphed their faces on his. But things got a tad bit real and serious when an FIR was filed against the actor for “hurting women’s sentiments”. After which, a lot of actors when asked to comment on the shoot came out in support of him. Joining the list of celebs who came out in support of Ranveer Singh is none other than the talented director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. Vivek Agnihotri has called the FIR filed against the 83 actor and the argument around his nude photoshoot “stupid”.
After the pics from his nude photoshoot went viral on social media, Mumbai police filed an FIR against Ranveer Singh for hurting the sentiments of women in India by posing in these pics without clothes after an NGO named Shyam Mangaram Foundation filed a complaint against the actor. Coming to his defence was Vivek Agnihotri who said in an interview that the conversation around the photoshoot for Paper Magazine was amusing and stupid at the same time.

Defending Ranveer Singh, Vivek Agnihotri said, “It is a very stupid FIR. This is such an amusing case which is getting the attention without any reason. It is written in the FIR that the sentiment of women is being hurt. Now tell me, when there are so many nude pictures of women, does it hurt the sentiments of men? This is such a stupid argument.”

Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri further added that the human body is something that has always been appreciated in the Indian culture. In fact, for him it is one of the most beautiful creation of God. The Kashmir Files director says that he doesn’t such stupid arguments as it shows very conservative thinking.
