Is this comparison justified?
“I Don’t Get Paid Like Deepika Padukone”: Vikrant Massey On Gender Pay Parity. Same Energy As ‘Not All Men’!

The gender pay parity debate has been around for a long time now. Many Indian actresses have come out to talk about the disparity in fees as compared to their male counterparts. Now, Vikrant Massey has given his opinion on the pay parity in the Indian film industry. The actor’s recent statement on pay parity was a subtle hint towards the inequality faced by male stars too. Vikrant Massey who was last seen in Gaslight opposite Sara Ali Khan and Chitragada Singh recently opened up about his opinion on the pay parity in the film industry. Where many other actresses have talked about not getting paid equally as to their male colleagues, Vikrant Massey added the male perspective here. He also opened up about getting paid less than many of the female actors. As per the news, Vikrant Massey stated he never made a big matter out of it. The comparison with Deepika Padukone sounds a little off here as she is a very senior actress to him in the industry. Maybe he could have given another example here. Also, this has the same energy as saying “Not All Men”. Why is it that men always want to prove that even their gender is victim to the same issues faced by women? Also, speaking out on the inequalities faced by women does not mean that they are making a “Fuss” about it.
