Vijay Thalapathy Announces Retirement
Vijay Thalapathy graced the audio launch event of his upcoming film Jana Nayagan on December 27, during which he gave a heartfelt speech. As he addressed the crowd, the actor reportedly revealed his decision to say goodbye to cinema and stand up for the fans who offered him everything including a fort. He reflected that when he entered the film industry, he was building a small sand house but his fans built him a palace. Vijay Thalapathy also said that his fans see him in theatres and stand in lines; now he will stand up for them for the next 30 to 33 years. He also acknowledged that when he was subjected to criticism, his fans stayed loyal to him. The actor said that he will now pay back his debt of gratitude.

Pooja Hegde Expresses Her Sadness
Actress Pooja Hegde, who was also present at the said event reportedly looked back on Vijay Thalapathy’s humbleness and professionalism. She candidly expressed her sadness over the fact that the abovementioned film was his last one. With years of hard work, the actor formed a huge fanbase that has indeed stayed loyal to him. It will surely be hard for them to digest that he won’t be seen on the big screens moving forward. As far as Jana Nayagan goes, the film will be released on January 9, 2025.
