IPL 2026: CSK Demands Action From BCCI After DJ Plays Dosa Idli Song During Match Against RCB!

Chennai Super Kings have officially complained to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) over the DJ’s choice of song and comments made during their match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The Chennai Super Kings team was unhappy with what happened in the game. The stadium DJ played a famous song with the lyrics “Dosa, idli, sambar, chutney, chutney”. This song is viral on the internet and often used in memes about South Indian food and culture. CSK felt the song was not a good choice for the match and wrote to the BCCI about it.
For the unversed, fans from both teams like to tease each other with this track on social media. Last year, an RCB player sang the same song in a video, and many CSK fans were upset. This time, the DJ played it during the live match at RCB’s home ground.
CSK managing director Kasi Viswanathan spoke about the matter. He said DJs are there to support the home team, which is fine. But in this game, the DJ made some comments that targeted CSK players. The team believes the DJ should keep the crowd excited without insulting the other side. Kasi Viswanathan also said CSK is lucky to have such wonderful fans who cheer for the team in every match.
A top IPL official confirmed that the BCCI received the complaint from CSK. The governing council is now looking into the issue. CSK officials made it clear that they do not want to stop the fun in the stadium. They only want to make sure no one tries to put down the rival team or its players.
