Rhea Kapoor’s Ambiguous IG Story Hints At ‘Veere Di Wedding’ Sequel! We Want Deets!

The 2018 film, Veere Di Wedding, was among the first ones to highlight female friendships on the silver screen. Even though the movie did not strike a chord with the audience, it did send the message that female friendships are top-tier. Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker, Sonam Kapoor and Shikha Talsania as the four pakke veeres, the movie was directed by Shashanka Ghosh and one of the producers was Rhea Kapoor. Well, on March 2, Rhea took to her Instagram handle to share a note about being a ‘sequel’ kinda girl. Is she hinting that Veere Di Wedding 2 is underway?

Rhea Kapoor left fans hanging without closure as she dropped a very vague update about a film sequel on her social media handle. She wrote that she never thought she was a ‘sequel girl’ but now, maybe she thinks she is! This short note was followed by a couple of emojis like the sealed lips, and a couple of girls dancing.
Now, seeing her career as a producer, she has bankrolled three films so far namely, Aisha, Khoobsurat and Veere Di Wedding. Of which, the one prominently based on female friendships was only the last one. And from the emojis Rhea Kapoor used in her Instagram story, it looks like maybe this can be a hint toward the sequel of Veere Di Wedding.

The plot of Veere Di Wedding revolved around Kalindi AKA Kareena getting married to her boyfriend, played by Sumeet Vyas but she is unsure if she wants to take a step in that direction. Her friends Sonam, Shikha and Swara come to support her, and they all take a trip together to Thailand to rediscover themselves!

Kareena Kapoor Khan is working on The Buckingham Murders, a web series. Sonam Kapoor Ahuja will next be seen in the crime thriller, Blind. Swara Bhasker, on the other, hand, has Mrs Falani in the pipeline.
