‘Uunchai’ Trailer: Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher And Boman Irani Unite To Tell A Bittersweet Tale Of Friendship And Adventure!
I have never been a fan of trekking! To keep walking at an incline while fighting the cold was never my idea of an adventure and it never will be! But whenever people tell stories of their trekking adventures, they always have my full attention. And that is how I vicariously live through the experience, too! *smiles sheepishly* But if at all such stories spark inspiration in me to ever go trekking, they are of old people who enjoy going on such trips. And one such story, fictional of course, is brought to the silver screen by Rajshree Productions with the film titled Uunchai. The cast of the film includes Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Sarika, Danny Denzongpa, Neena Gupta and Parineeti Chopra in prominent roles! Uunchai is a Sooraj Barjatya directorial and its trailer was dropped on October 18, 2022.

The two-minute-50-second video opens with wide shots of Mount Everest, and its snow-capped peaks, with Parineeti’s voiceover giving instructions about how to make your trek easier. The next series of frames go on to highlight how tight the friendship between Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Danny Denzongpa is. Danny expresses his wish to scale Everest but the other three moan and complain about how it is not their age to do so.

But Danny’s passing changes the scenario completely. Amitabh decides to scale Everest in their friend’s name and they all begin training for the same. Neena Gupta plays Boman Irani’s wife in the wife who also supports their endeavour! Parineeti Chopra plays the role of the trekking instructor and she guides them every step of the way.
The trailer of the film itself gave off very wholesome vibes! Right from Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Danny Denzongpa’s friendship to the grief they go through when one of their dearest friends passes away and they all decide to do the unthinkable for their friend, it is very very sweet! Amitabh looks handsome as he always does and seems like he is the anchor of their group!

While Anupam and Boman Irani are the cutest goofballs! While we did not get to see much about Parineeti’s role, she, too, seemed to have blended well into the role. Her look is also very different in the trailer, and we are looking forward to seeing how she trains the three old men before they set out on one of the world’s most difficult treks!
Uunchai will release in theatres on November 11, 2022.
