But this was not the most-talked-about thing from her red carpet walk; it was her statement saying that she was representing India, in a dress by a Vietnamese designer.

While everything was fine till this moment, after which she said that she was “proud” to wear a Vietnamese designer label called JoliPoli couture for the festival and even called it a privilege to represent her country. The internet was instantly phased by the hypocrisy of the actor and started calling her out in the comment section. One user called her the “first woman” to represent India in a Vietnamese designer.

For the unversed, Urvashi donned a custom gown by the designer featuring a body-hugging sheer silhouette with lavender mesh detailing and some intricate silver embellishments across the gown. The featured crystals and stone-work created an armour effect under the flashlights on the red carpet.
