Twinkle Khanna Shares Throwback Picture With Father Rajesh Khanna On Their Shared Birthday

The late Rajesh Khanna is known as the first superstar of the Indian film industry. His industry friends used to call him Kaka. He is known for delivering several blockbuster films as much as the mass hysteria among his fans in the 1970s. But here’s something you might not know. Rajesh Khanna and his daughter Twinkle Khanna share the same birthday. Today, Twinkle Khanna remembered her late father on her birthday and his 79th birth anniversary and shared an adorable throwback picture with him on social media.

The talented actress and writer who we know as Mrs Funnybones recently shared a priceless sepia-toned photo from her childhood days of her and father Rajesh Khanna. Sharing the photo, she wrote, ”He always said I was the best present he could have ever received, as I tumbled feet first into the world on his birthday. A little star looking up at the biggest one in the galaxy. It’s our day together, now and forever.”

As soon as she shared the post, many of her industry friends wished her including Manish Malhotra, Ayesha Shroff, and Farah Khan. The Khiladi of Bollywood and Twinkle Khanna’s husband Akshay Kumar also posted a photo from their Maldives vacation and wished her. Sharing the post, he wrote, ”With you by my side, even the blues are easy to take in my stride… Happy birthday, Tina.”

According to recent reports, Producer-actor Nikhil Dwivedi has acquired the rights to Gautam Chintamani’s book Dark Star: The Loneliness Of Being Rajesh Khanna and announced a film based on the life of superstar Rajesh Khanna, titled Superstar. The biopic will be directed by Farah Khan, who will also write the script of the film along with Gautam Chintamani. The casting of the film is not revealed yet. Talking about the film in an interview, Nikhil Dwivedi said, “Yes, I’ve acquired the rights to Gautam Chintamani’s book, Dark Star, and I’m in talks with Farah Khan to make the film. That’s all I can say for now. As and when any major development happens, I’ll be happy to share because I’m really very excited about bringing Rajesh Khanna’s story to the big screen.”

The director and choreographer Farah Khan revealed that she has read the book and it fascinated her because the story is very exciting but declined to say anything about the film.
