Saumya Tandon on growing up in Ujjain

The 38-year-old actress recalled the horrifying experiences she went through while talking about growing up in Ujjain. She said, “I remember cycling to school every day, and one day when she was returning home, a couple of boys riding a bike sharply overtook my cycle. I fell off my cycle and those boys left without attending to me.” As a result of this, there was a crack in Saumya’s skull as well. She also recalled how this incident took place not far from home, and how her mother rushed her to the hospital.

It is so hard to imagine how Saumya Tandon must have grown up in this environment. Having boys chasing her and following her, there would be no sense of security while walking down a street in broad daylight let alone at night. We hope the situation today would be better in the city of Ujjain because never has a girl anywhere have to go through what Saumya did.
