Asking for consent for anything means that you have respect for yourself and others but many people don’t understand this simple concept. In the latest episode of Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist, actress Divyanka Tripathi opened up about the importance of consent and said that children should be taught about it as well. We couldn’t agree more with her!

In a candid and fun conversation with Siddhaarth Aalambayan aka The Male Feminist, actress Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya talked about the importance of consent. She said that consent is not only always about ‘No’ or ‘Yes’, it is also about understanding the body language of the person, sensing their discomfort, and putting things to an end at the right time as it is important. The Ye Hai Mohabbatein added that children should be taught about the signs of lack of consent as well.

She also shared a horrible incident that happened to her when a person tried to kiss her without her permission during the shooting of a show. When she questioned the person about it, he said that she was too close to him. After the incident, the person made sure that she faces issues while working. This proves that some people never think twice before crossing the boundary.

Furthermore, Divyanka said that men get petrified when someone touches them with bad intentions.
