If you are someone who knows everything about the entertainment industry, then you must have heard about the term ‘casting couch’ and how it has ruined the lives of so many actresses.  In the latest episode of the Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist, actress Divyanka Tripathi aka the favourite bahu of the TV industry explained how the casting couch works in the entertainment industry. It was an eye-opening conversation!

In a candid conversation with Siddhaarth Aalambayan aka The Male Feminist, actress Divyanka Tripathi opened up about her casting couch instances and explained how it actually works in the industry. She mentioned that those people who are involved in such things have an interesting language. They try to manipulate people by saying that’s how the industry works and how top actresses get work through the casting couch. The Ye Hai Mohabbatein actress said the conversation around the casting couch starts with them offering the actress a movie role and after that, they make them wait to increase the “value” of the creator of the project.

Talking about her own experience, she added that after a meeting, they told her that she is selected for the role. But after that, the person’s assistant told her that she will have to immediately leave for the United States so they both can spend some time alone and know each other better.

Divyanka Tripathi added that such people baffle and confuse you. Well, that was an uncomfortable truth and the fact that she had to go through it twice is concerning.
