‘Thar’ Trailer: Anil Kapoor Teams Up With Son Harshvarrdhan Kapoor, Fatima Sana Shaikh For A Gritty Action Thriller
Who doesn’t love a good action crime thriller? Bollywood is really a gift that keeps giving and the next gift that it’s sending our way is a rather interesting action thriller starring Anil Kapoor, Harshvarrdhan Kapoor, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Satish Kaushik titled Thar. This Netflix original film directed by Raj Singh Chaudhary has been produced by Harshvarrdhan Kapoor with dialogues co-written by Anurag Kashyap. We finally get to see the Kapoor father-son duo uniting for a film after their last Netflix film AK vs AK. Harshvarrdhan Kapoor will be marking his debut as a producer with Thar. The film is all set to release on the OTT platform on May 6 and the trailer of the film has just been released.

Thar follows the story of an antique dealer as he travels through a remote village in Rajasthan that has been left shocked by a series of violent murders. The antique dealer crosses paths with the cop, Surekha Singh as he investigates the murders. It’s a violent tale of retribution that takes place in the heart of an unforgiving desert in Rajasthan.
Speaking about the film Anil Kapoor had earlier stated that his son Harshvarrdhan Kapoor was the one to pitch him the film while adding that his son has a ‘unique approach’ and a distinct taste when it comes to films. Talking about the story, the actor had said that it “strikes the perfect balance between gritty and slick, grainy and smooth, fast-paced yet nuanced”. The actor also expressed his excitement about the film.

On the other hand, Harshvarrdhan Kapoor revealed that Thar has been an educational experience for him while adding that he realised that it’s unique the moment he read it. Sharing that he was in a situation where he had to preserve to get the story from the page to the screen without any compromise, Harshvarrdhan said that he also knew that an ambitious film like this was going to be a learning experience for him both behind and in front of the camera. Alongside the launch of this much-awaited trailer, the makers surprised audience with the release of film’s first track.
