‘Welcome 3’ Starring Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar And Paresh Rawal To Go On Floors In 2022 And We Just Can’t Stop Jumping In Joy!
OMG, OMG, OMG! I just can’t! My fave Bollywood characters are coming back to life once again and I’m going to WELCOME them with open arms. Remember Uday Bhai, Majnu Bhai and Dr Ghungroo from Welcome? Well, it seems like they’re going to be back with a bang once again in another film of the series. Yes, you read that right. The script of Welcome 3 is currently being written and will be going on floors in the second half of 2022.
As per media reports, a source close to producer Firoz Nadiadwala has told Pinkvilla that Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal will reprise their roles in Welcome 3 while adding that the makers plan on roping in a bigger cast for the third part of the much-awaited film franchise. “The script of Welcome 3 is already being written, and the plan is to take it on the floors in the latter part of next year. While Anil, Nana and Paresh will be part of the third film, the makers are also aiming to rope in a much bigger cast for this one. Firoz Nadiadwala is planning to make the movie on a massive scale and it will be an action-comedy,” the source told Pinkvilla. Well, I just cannot wait for this one to hit the theatres.

I still remember the time when the first part of the film starring Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal was released in 2007. It was an absolute laugh riot. Welcome is the one Bollywood comedy-drama that I can rewatch any number of times. And TBH, the songs from the first part are still on my dance playlist. Just five minutes before I found out about Welcome 3, I was listening to Uncha Lamba Kad from the film.
The second part of the film franchise, Welcome Back hit the theatres in 2015. The star cast of the film included Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal, John Abraham, Shruti Hassan, Naseeruddin Shah, Shiney Ahuja and Rajpal Yadav among others. And I’d be lying if I said that Welcome and Welcome Back weren’t total paisa vasool films. Well, I’m expecting Welcome 3 to be yet another laugh riot like the previous films of the franchise but if I’m being honest, the first part set the benchmark really high. There’s no other Bollywood slapstick comedy that can beat Welcome!
But then again, we’re going to welcome Welcome 3 with open arms!
