Taapsee Pannu Says That She Is Still Not Considered Among The Top 2–3 Heroines, Lack Of Acknowledgement Bothers Her
I wonder on what basis we consider an actor to be on the top list or the A-listers? The amount of money they are paid, the kind of projects they take on, or their acting skills. In India, I guess people go a lot on the actor’s look, especially among actresses this is considered more. Recently in an interview given by Taapsee Pannu, the actor raised some very valid questions on this and put out some very straightforward statements. Taapsee Pannu’s next movie Shabaash Mithu is a much-awaited project of hers and it revolves around the life of cricketer Mithali Raj. The actor in an interview talked about how many people still do not consider her among the top 2-3 actresses in the country even after her film choices.

Talking on a show with RJ Stutee, the Shabaash Mithu actress she still feels like an underdog in the industry. Further adding to this Taapsee said that a layman still does not count her among the top 2-3 actresses of the country. However, she also stated that a person who is aware of the number game as it the returns received from an actor based on the money invested in them will surely take her name, as per a report. Taapsee Pannu also said that not gaining enough acknowledgment for her works and film choices, at times bothers her as well.

Elaborating on the same, the actor called herself a “patented underdog” and said that she is like a dark horse who was not believed in from the very beginning. Taapsee also stated that there are days when she feels low about not being taken into consideration even after such good film choices which may be many others would not opt for. Taapsee Pannu further put out that sometimes the frustration of this takes over and she questions why is she not being acknowledged by the masses.
