SSR Drug Case: NCB Draft Charged Rhea Chakraborty With Illicit Drug Activities, Including Multiple Supplies Of Ganja

The drug case that started after Sushant’s death saw a lot of twists and turns. It is still an ongoing case, which involved actor Rhea Chakraborty as well. In the recent updates on this case, Rhea Chakraborty has been charged with receiving drugs from multiple sources, including his brother.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), the department that is handling the drug case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has filed a draft accusing Rhea Chakraborty of obtaining drugs. Reportedly, the draft specifically mentions that Rhea got multiple Ganja deliveries from the other accused, which also included Rhea’s brother Showik. The draft was filed last month and the details of which were released on Tuesday, as per a report. According to the source, the draft contains the name of the 35 accused in this case. It also stated that her brother Showik was in constant touch with drug sellers and also handed deliveries to Sushant Singh Rajput. It has also been revealed in the NCB draft, Rhea made the payments for it between March and September 2020.
The NCB draft also charges all the accused for obtaining, selling, and distributing drugs among the high-profile Bollywood stars as well. It further revealed that all the accused carried out drug trafficking within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region without any authorisation or license. The NCB draft has charged the accused in this case with various sections under the NDPS act. The sections include 27 and 27A (financing illicit traffic and harbouring offenders) 28 (punishment for attempts to commit offences), and 29 (whoever abets or is a party to a criminal conspiracy).
