Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby’s Dahaad has been directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi. It stars Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah in leading roles. The show is a serial killer drama set in a small and sleepy town in the state of Rajasthan. It is an eight-part crime drama which revolves around the protagonist, Sub-inspector Anjali Bharati and her colleagues at the local police station; the show follows them as they unravel a curious case of mysterious murders.

The series begins with a string of mysterious deaths, a series of women are found dead in public bathrooms. However, nobody seems surprised by these sudden deaths, because at first, they appear to be clear-cut suicides. But Sub-Inspector Anjali Bhaati who is tasked with the investigation of this particular case suspects it to be more complicated than it seems. She notices a similarity in all the cases, long nightly phone calls and a boyfriend that no one in the neighbourhood has ever seen. Then begins a riveting game of cat and mouse between a seasoned serial killer and an underdog cop as she pieces together evidence before another innocent woman loses her life.
