Kapil Sharma Shares Pictures From ‘Zwigato’s’ World Premiere Toronto Film Festival With ‘Zwigato’ Filmmakers, Deepa Mehta And Nandita Das
Comedian Kapil Sharma uploaded a bunch of photos from the Toronto International Film Festival 2022. The filmmakers Deepa Mehta and Nandita Das were also seen in the photos. The images are from TIFF 2022’s world premiere of Zwigato. Kapil portrays a food delivery rider in the film, which was screened as part of the festival’s Contemporary World Cinema category.

Shahana Goswami and Kapil Sharma are featured in the Nandita Das-directed film Zwigato. The plot of Zwigato revolves around Kapil’s character, an ex-floor manager of a factory, loses his job due to the pandemic. He then starts working as a foo delivery rider where he tried to understand the world of ratings and rewards. His stay-at-home wife (played by Shahana) starts looking for various job prospects to support the family’s income, both with trepidation and enthusiasm about her newfound independence. Kapil was all smiles with Deepa Mehta and Nandita Das. As she discussed Zwigato’s inclusion at TIFF 2022, Nandita stated in an interview that this means a lot to her as she made her acting and directing debuts there with Fire and Firaaq, respectively. She said that she hopes that Zwigato’s universal topic will strike a chord with the international audience that the festival draws.

Zwigato was picked earlier this month for the Asian Premiere at the 27th Busan International Film Festival. This year’s film festival is slated to run from October 5 – 14. The romantic comedy What’s Love Got to Do With It? by director Shekhar Kapur and Kachchey Limbu, a film by first-time director Shubham Yogi, also had its world premiere at the festival as part of the TIFF 2022 Gala Presentations category.
