Singer Karthik Is Now The Judge Of ‘Indian Idol Telegu’ Despite #Metoo Allegations. Why Do Men Keep Getting Away With This?

Because they faced no consequences! One of them was Telugu singer Karthik who was accused anonymously by many (which included female singers) and he still has gone to have a normal career. Recently, people are angry because Karthik has been appointed as one of the three judges of Telugu Indian Idol. Singer Chinmayi Sripaada, who was also one of the leading voices in the #metoo movement also commented on this.
The popular singing show, Telugu Indian Idol is all set to be streamed on OTT platforms. However, the show has already found itself in quite a bit of controversy before it has even begun. The appointment of singer Karthik as one of the judges of the show along with Thaman S and Nithya Menen. However, many are extremely upset about this decision despite the accusations made by multiple women.

Singer Chinmayi Sripaada spoke to Hyderabad Times and questioned the Indian Idol franchise. She questioned if there is an ICC in place and if the female contestant have been informed f the allegations against Karthik. Moreover, she questioned if they are comfortable with him. She also said, “Isn’t it ironic that many of the victims continue to struggle every day while the accused are being rehabilitated and appearing as judges on talent shows? What kind of message does this send to all the young women out there? It’s shocking.” the producers of Indian Idol have chosen to not comment on the matter.
It is such a shame that despite all the allegations against singer Karthik, he still continues to live out his life and career smoothly. All the while, the victims of his actions have to suffer.
