‘RRR’ Bags 2 Golden Globe Awards Nominations And Alia Bhatt Is All Hearts!

Alia Bhatt’s amazing acting skills are no secret. She has time and again won us over with her talent. Apart from being one of the highest-paid actresses in India, Alia Bhatt has won several accolades for her work and has been nominated for several others. A while ago, Alia was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress category in RRR’s Oscar campaign even though the film wasn’t picked to be India’s official Oscar entry. While her role in the film had very little screen time, we cannot deny the fact that it was a great commercial film. No wonder this film has been winning awards left right and centre. And guess what, RRR has bagged some new nominations that have left the cast including Alia, Jr NTR and director SS Rajamouli feeling proud. The Telugu-language period action drama film has now been nominated for the Golden Globes Awards 2023 in not 1 but 2 categories namely, Best Pictures in the Non-English Language category and Best Original Song, Motion Picture category for the song ‘Naatu Naatu’.
Taking to the official Instagram handle of the film, the makers shared that RRR has been nominated for the prestigious Gloden Globe Awards in two categories. Sharing the post on her Instagram stories, Alia Bhatt reacted to the news and went all hearts about it.
Apart from the actress, Jr NTR and director SS Rajamouli also reacted to the news and rejoiced about it. Actor Prabhas, filmmaker Karan Johar, and Shekhar Kapur and music composer AR Rahman also took to social media to congratulate the makers as well as the cast for RRR being nominated for the Gloden Globe Awards.

This isn’t the first award that RRR has won or has been nominated for. It was earlier nominated for Saturn Awards, Hollywood Music in Media Awards and Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association among several others. The film director SS Rajamouli won the Best Director Award in the New York Film Critics Circle and Los Angeles Film Critics Association for RRR. It has also been listed in the top ten films by the National Board of Review and has won the Best International Feature Award in Atlanta Film Critics Circle among others.
