Riteish Deshmukh Loved ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ So Much That He Wrote A Thread About It. Now We’re Excited!
While I do tend to watch quite a lot of movies, there are very few that I genuinely wait for. However, that changed this year with Gangubai Kathiwadi starring Alia Bhatt. The story revolves around a madam of a brothel in the red-light district of Mumbai, Kamathipura. All the glimpses of the movie along with Alia Bhatt’s badass avatar has all of us on the edge of our seats with anticipation. While the movie is all set to release tomorrow, it already premiered and a lot of Bollywood celebs were seen attending the screening. One of them was Riteish Deshmukh with his wife and actor, Genelia Deshmukh.

Riteish Deshmukh was seen at the screening of Gangubai Kathiwadi along with Genelia Deshmukh. After the screening, he took to Twitter and gave his reviews on the much awaited Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie. He wrote a thread where he lauded Alia Bhatt and everyone involved in the making of Gangubai Kathiwadi for their work in the movie. In his first tweet Riteish said, “Saw #GangubaiKathiawadi last night!!! Another magical experience.. #SanjayLeelaBhansali is an absolute master storyteller. Every frame in the film has perfection written all over it. @aliaa08 you are gold! You are a fantastic actor but you have outdone yourself as Gangubai.”

He then followed it up by praising the rest of the team including Ajay Devgn as well. Riteish said, “Cinematography by Sudeep Chaterjee is the bomb.. Dialogues, Choreography, production design, music..are top notch, everyone in the film got their A game into play. @ajaydevgn’s entry and every dialogue is seeti maar. While I was already excited for and looking forward to Gangubai Kathiwadi, Riteish Deshmukh’s raving reviews have me even more enthused. All we gotta do is wait for the big theatrical release due on February 25.
