Red Flag No More? Ranbir Kapoor Taking A 6-Month Break To Be With Daughter Raha Is A Green Flag Move!

Guess what, guys? Bollywood’s red flag man and Alia Bhatt’s husband Ranbir Kapoor has finally done something that we can call green flag behaviour. In a recent live interaction with fans, the actor announced that he will be taking a break of 5 to 6 months to spend time with daughter Raha Kapoor. While sharing the news, the actor also revealed that he couldn’t take a break to spend time with her earlier as he was shooting for Animal. He even spoke about Alia Bhatt’s film Jigra.

Ranbir Kapoor To Take 6 Months Sabbatical To Be With Raha

In the live interaction, Ranbir Kapoor shared that he wanted to take paternity leave to spend time with Raha while adding that it’s the best time to be with his daughter because she is expressive now. Adding that he is going to cherish this time with his daughter, the actor revealed that. Alia Bhatt will be busy shooting Vasan Bala’s film Jigra while he spends time with Raha in the coming 5-6 months. Ranbir also added that with Alia Bhatt being busy, he will have their daughter all to himself. FYI, the actor has not signed any film after Animal.

NGL but we’re lowkey happy with Ranbir Kapoor for taking a paternity leave to be an actual father to his daughter and setting an example for other men. Finally, this man, who has time and again put a foot in his mouth by saying several problematic things about his wife in public, has decided to use the platform that he has to set a good example with a green flag move. It’s not common for men to take paternity leave to raise their kids (as they should). Now, we’re not glorifying the man for doing what every father should but we’re just glad that he’s setting a much-needed example which might encourage other men to be a responsible parent and not an absent one.

Ranbir Kapoor On Facing Social Media Criticism

The Animal actor opened up about facing criticism and negativity over a “toxic” statement (we’d say statements). Ranbir Kapoor reportedly said that he is siding with people fighting “toxic masculinity”. He also claimed that negativity is extremely important for an artist and that many opinions are shared and written which aren’t always true because an image has been created of him by the characters he plays. Erm, I think not! I mean, was Ranbir playing a character when he fat-shamed his pregnant wife during an interview? Or when he spoke about Alia’s “loud personality”? We don’t think it was funny when he called the actress a better mother than a wife. Are we supposed to feel sorry for him after hearing this rather illogical explanation for his red-flag behaviour being called out on social media?

ICYMI, in a recent video, Alia Bhatt revealed that Ranbir likes the natural colour of her lips and even when he was her boyfriend, he would ask her to “wipe it off”. This did not sit well with the internet users who called out the actor’s behaviour and termed him “controlling” and “toxic”.
