What struck a chord with fans was Rao’s unusual face, followed by rumours about him getting fillers and face surgery sprouted on our screens. After many speculations, Rao did not react to the viral pictures, and called them fake, however now he finally broke the silence on the same.

Speaking to India Today, Rao confessed to getting fillers, but 8 to 9 years ago. When asked about the viral image and if he really got plastic surgery done, Rao revealed that he did it a few years ago, as prescribed by his dermatologist. It was during the time that he entered the film industry, and many people would often comment on his looks. Promoting it in a subtle way, Rao also said that it should be okay if one wishes to get fillers or surgeries done to boost confidence. It’s their personal choice. But the latest picture has nothing to do with it and is completely fake.

When asked if he was affected by the immense trolling, the actor said that he found them interestingly funny and that the picture was manufactured in a way to create buzz. “I know it’s fake. Also, there are trolls who do that just for attention. I think that’s the saddest thing that one can do,” added the actor.
