Rajkummar Rao Says Male Stars Are Equally Pressurised Like Female Celebs To Look Good, Thank God Someone Said It!

It is not easy to breathe under constant media attention and many actors have often come out clean to speak about the same. During a recent interview, actor Rajkummar Rao spoke candidly about the pressures of looking and behaving like a star and how trolls don’t leave them alone. Speaking to journalist Anupama Chopra, Rao mentioned how just not female but male stars also go through constant media scrutiny. When asked about his experience of dealing with trolls and the pressure of always looking a certain way.
Further delving into the topic, Rao said that the pressures are the same for female stars. Citing an example from a recent incident, the actor said–”It happened to me recently, so I know. One wrong angle, one wrong picture, one wrong moment captured, and people would just talk about it for no reason.” He also said how actors have to think about every aspect of their look, even while catching a flight. Adding to it, he said how he has to even think of carrying a cap on a bad hair day. This has become important to avoid bad comments and trolls.

Rao also said that such pressures are weird. For the unversed, Rajkummar Rao was brutally trolled for his look at the Maidaan premiere. The actor’s video from the red carpet event went viral, with people speculating if he underwent plastic surgery since his face looked weirdly different. Addressing the same, the Srikanth actor denied going through any surgeries and that he did undergo one some nine years ago.
