Priyanka Chopra On Sridevi Biography
Taking to her Instagram stories, Priyanka Chopra shared the cover of a book that was titled ‘Empress- The Definitive Biography of Sridevi…The epitome of unmitigated talent”- Amitabh Bachchan, Dhiraj U. Kumarr. In the caption, she spoke about how she was the “one and only” and how she missed her. Chopra further wished the actress a happy birthday and teased fans about this update of her biography. Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor also reshared this post on his story. For the unversed, it was back in 2023 that Westland Books announced an official biography on her named ‘Sridevi: The Life of a Legend’ exploring her life and career. It is written by Dhiraj Kumar and gives a detailed peek into her journey as a sensation both on and off screen.
In his statement, Boney Kapoor spoke about author Dhiraj, who was considered a part of the family by the late star, and described him as a researcher, writer, and columnist. For the unversed, Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018, at the age of 54 in Dubai. This happened after she suffered from a cardiac arrest. She had gone to Dubai to attend the wedding of actor Mohit Marwah when the unfortunate incident took place. Reportedly, she collapsed in her hotel room and after a medical team tried to revive her, she could not be saved.
