What Kangana Ranaut Said
Taking to her Instagram stories, Kangana Ranaut shared a video of herself defending these remarks. She started by stating that the Gen Z population in the country is 20-25 crore and that around 10,000 were at the Jantar Mantar. She went on to say that the majority of these people were “Shabana Azmi-type”, questioning how it was labelled as a Gen Z protest since there was a variety of age groups present. Ranaut went on to say that she spoke specifically about the crowd gathered outside and even gave an open challenge to anyone who could quote her directing this entire generation. She further asked everyone not to throw a “useless agenda” towards her since she was not against the youth, but is one of them.
Veteran actor Shabana Azmi had also supported the NEET-UG protest held at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar led by the Cockroach Janta Party. She also joined thousands of protestors in their march towards the Parliament on July 20. She was seen travelling in a truck and in many viral videos, even crossing barricades alongside the protestors. Azmi shared a picture of herself travelling in a truck during the protest march alongside actor Prakash Raj. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know.
