Can we please maintain some level of decency when it comes to cracking jokes? It’s a general thought these days, but today the context is around a video going viral on social media. It is from a recent event that took place in Mumbai, and the cast of Patni Patni Aur Woh Do was present for the same. The uncomfortable joke that was made during the event concerns Wamiqa Gabbi, and the social media users have strongly reacted to it. Read more about it.
Joke On Wamiqa Gabbi
A video from the Pati Patni Aur Woh Do event in Mumbai’s Sanjay Gandhi National Park has surfaced on social media. The video is grabbing eyeballs due to a joke, a rather questionable one that was made on Wamiqa Gabbi. The host is heard asking the actor if singer Mika Singh had any contribution to her birth, and added that whoever chose her name must have said, “Waah-Mika” (Wamiqa).
This was supposed to be a fun banter, but in no time, the joke turned uncomfortable, and Wamiqa Gabbi visibly looked so. A Twitter post called this joke out as pathetic and cheap, and also criticised the poor state of journalism. However, another in the comment section pointed out that it was not a journalist but comedian Rajat Sood who made the joke. Many users called out the cringeworthy joke and also wrote that Wamiqa Gabbi should have bashed the host right there. Here are some reactions.
A journalist asked Wamiqa what role Mika Singh played in her birth. Wamiqa gave a fake laugh and dodged the question.
