Actress Parineeti Chopra is currently basking in the success of her latest release Amar Singh Chamkila. For her Netflix film opposite Diljit Dosanjh, Chopra stepped into the shoes of late popular Punjabi Singer Amar Singh Chamkila’s wife Amarjot Kaur, who was shot dead alongside him. For the role, Chopra went through an intense preparation process, refined her singing and put on 15 kilos to play the part. After all the success and praises, Chopra is finally out and about, interacting with the media and discussing her take.

After a few flops, Parineeti had a major shift in her personal life and tied the knot with politician Raghav Chadha. Post Chamkila’s success, Chopra received tons of messages from fans and friends from the fraternity saying “Parineeti is back.” Speaking about her selection of poor scripts and casting in Bollywood, the actress opened up to Bollywood Hungama and revealed she doesn’t go to Bollywood parties or attend events where work opportunities are created. Adding to this she said–”I want directors and producers to call me for my work because I am willing to work hard. I won a National Award for Ishaqzaade 10 years ago. I am still the same actor.”

Giving a shocking statement, Chopra went on to reveal–”Getting work in Bollywood doesn’t only depend on merit or acting, you have to be in cliques and camps to get roles.” She also spoke about the tiring process of getting scene everywhere, paparazzi culture and attending every glam event. She went on to confess that her PR game is not very strong. Speaking about industry politics, the actress said that she wants to face all those actors who do not belong to any camp and wishes to break the lobby system in Bollywood.
