During the promotions for Amar Singh Chamkila, Imtiaz Ali revealed that Parineeti Chopra instantly agreed to put 15 kgs weight for her role as Amarjot. The actress has also spoken about in her latest interview with Bollywood Hungama. She revealed that many of her friends asked her to not take up the role, but she still went ahead with her decision. The actress stated that she had to look her worst in the film but she was ready to do it. In the interview, Parineeti Chopra also revealed that she lost many projects during the two years when she was shooting the film. She also added that there were many false pregnancy and plastic surgery rumours about her around that time too. Furthermore, Parineeti Chopra revealed that Vidya Balan’s work in The Dirty Picture had inspired her to take up the task of putting weight and playing the challenging role of Chamkila’s wife Amarjot Kaur.
