Paparazzi Risk Being Run Over To Take Pics Of Alia Bhatt And Ranbir’s Kapoor With Their Baby. This Is Too Extreme For No Reason!

The paparazzi as a whole is a very odd profession to me. Imagine, everything we have seen a paparazzo do to click a picture of a celebrity going about their business is things that a regular person would be called a stalker for. And to be fair, aren’t they lowkey just that? Waiting outside celebrity’s homes, tailing them everywhere they go, constantly invading their privacy. Doesn’t that sound like one’s worse nightmare? I recently saw a set of videos on paparazzo Viral Bhayani’s Instagram where he took videos of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor leaving the H.N. Reliance hospital with their baby girl and I was totally appalled.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor announced the birth of their baby girl a few days ago at the H.N. Reliance hospital. Soon after, dadi Neetu Kapoor told the paparazzi that Alia and the baby were doing well. In a recent set of videos by Viral Bhayani, the couple can be seen leaving the hospital with their baby in hand. What is appalling is the number of paparazzo literally tripping and pushing each other, trying to get a glimpse of the baby. Like, why? Is that how much we as a society care about celebrities? If the couple wants to make their daughter’s identity public, they will do it in their own time. But literally crowding outside their car while they try to take the baby home is just disgusting and such a gross invasion of privacy.

Moreover, there are news publications using these creepily taken photos and videos to talk about how the baby was spotted or that she made her first public appearance when neither of these things is true. She was being carried home by her parents in a car they own. Clicking pictures of someone without their consent isn’t a public appearance. And using these videos and images just encourages more of this behaviour. And I can’t imagine how stressful all this is on Alia. She is a new and young mother who has just given birth. At a time when she should be resting, mentally and physically, she has to worry about maintaining her and her family’s privacy.

The other day, I can across this video of Kim and Khloé Kardashian where their car is at a red light and the paparazzi are clicking pictures of the sisters in their car. Some were also banging on their windows and trying to get them to look in their direction. Not only this behaviour but also the fact that many people in the comment section believe that raging over the paparazzi is pointless considering that the celebs “signed up for it”.

So, do these lose the right to be treated like human beings just because they are in the public eye? Do they not deserve privacy the way the rest of us do? How much would most of us have to overthink stepping out if we knew that all of our moves were being speculated and clicked pictures of? Thar sounds like a nightmare to me and I am sure it is to you as well. Maybe look at these celebrities as actual people and not just someone whose personal life you are entitled to.
