Nayanthara Was Offered Roles In Exchange For “Favours”. Why Is No One Boycotting Casting Couch?

As much as the entertainment industry attracts people because of its glamour, there are negative elements that exist here as well. One of the most disgusting things that prevail in this industry is the casting couch. Asking for sexual favours in exchange for roles in films should be declared a crime, and it is mostly women who find themselves on the receiving end of it. Recently, Nayanthara opened up about being asked for ‘favours’ early on in her career and she put her foot down and said no!

It is really sad that women get asked to go through such disgusting experiences to get work. Why is so hard for directors to actually recognise their talent and give roles based on the same? Why ruin a woman’s career before it begins, and traumatise her for the rest of her life?
