Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter and Shweta Nanda’s daughter Navya Naveli Nanda is a social activist who often speaks about women empowerment and gender equality. And recently this star kid spoke about her gender-equal upbringing and her brother, The Archies actor Agastya Nanda. And guess what? Navya revealed that her brother, who is all set to make his acting debut, knows how to make tea.

In a conversation with Josh Talks, Navya Naveli Nanda said that her mother Shweta Bachchan raised her and her brother Agastya Nanda as equals in an egalitarian environment. Speaking about managing household finances, the star kid and social activist said that her grandmother told her that women are the best entrepreneurs and are born with management skills. She further explained that she was taught that a housewife’s job is much like a CEO’s job. Navya revealed that the responsibility of household finances and budgeting have been divided between her and her brother and that both of them understand the value of money as they both earn.

Speaking about her gender-equal upbringing, Navya Naveli Nanda shared that both she and Agastya Nanda do everything at home. The star kid said that while she knows how to manage household finances, her brother knows how to make tea when guests come over. Surprisingly, in an old interview with SheThePeople, Navya had said that her mother would often ask her to play the hostess as opposed to her brother.

For the unversed, Agastya Nanda is going to make his acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s Netflix film The Archies alongside Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan and Vedang Raina among others. The film is reportedly a teen-musical comedy-drama based on the comic book of the same name. Agastya is set to portray Archie Andrews in the film in the film which is being produced by Tiger Baby Productions.
