Bazmee recalled calling him over the phone and asking to meet him. The late actor replied, “Kai Ko.”  The director told him that he wanted to narrate a film to him. When Bazmee went to Nana Patekar’s house, he told him that he didn’t want to listen to the story and asked him to swear on his mom that this film is right for him and he should do it. But despite that, the director insisted that the actor read the script and went on to narrate the story to him for almost three hours.
