In a recent conversation, Malaika Arora openly talks about not being one to keep quiet and take punches lying down. She says that even after all the societal criticism she faced being a divorced woman, she is unapologetically herself and what others say doesn’t really affect her.

Malaika Arora said, “I don’t take things lying down… And I think today’s women should be able to stand up and say things that you feel strongly about and show that it’s fine. It’s fine to be, to find, to live the life that I am. I mean, in today’s day and age, divorced women, single parents, etc., are actually looked down upon… you know when I say looked down upon there’s always a lot of criticism. There’s someone or the other having some sort of comment and I think we need to change that.”

The 49-year-old actress further went on to say that she wants to change society’s perspective on divorce women as much as she can in her own little way. In fact, she even goes on to say that she has not just faced criticism for that but also for her fashion choices. Malaika Arora says she is “heavily, heavily trolled” for the kind of clothes she wears. She even goes so far as to say that people will believe everything that is put out there.
