Malayalam Director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan Into Custody By Kerala Police After Actress Manju Warrier Files Defamation Complaint
We heard a shocking piece of news on Friday. Malayalam filmmaker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan has been taken into custody by the Kerala police on Thursday. The action was taken by police after actress Manju Warrier filed a complaint against him for repeatedly ‘threatening and insulting’ her on social media. She also has said in her complaint that Sanal Sasidharan has been defaming her on social media.
As per reports, Manju Warrier has filed a complaint at Elamakkara Police station in Kochi and claimed that Sanal has been defaming her through his social media posts. He also took to a Facebook live session wherein he was seen resisting the police. He said in the live video that they grabbed his phone and that he is being kidnapped and attacked as well. Sanal also said that some ‘goons’ who are claiming to be ‘police’ are taking him away.

A couple of days ago, Sanal Kumar Sasidharan took to his Instagram and shared a post featuring Manju Warrier. He also wrote a lengthy caption in Malayam wherein he has written that Manju’s life is in danger. He also went on to claim that he is not sure if the complaint was filed by Manju herself or not. Sanal further said that his life has been in danger since his film Kayattam which also starred Manju Warrier. He also added that it has been a while since he posted about Manju and she still has not responded or commented on it.

Sanal said that he does not believe in the law and order system of Kerala and has also written to the President and the Chief Justice regarding his apprehensions about the ‘law and order situation in Kerala’.
