‘Koffee With Karan’ S7 Ep 11 Ft. Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor Is An Extended Version Of ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’ We Didn’t Ask For
Karan Johar is the master of bringing out the dirty laundry of celebs and he’s here with yet another episode of Koffee With Karan Season 7. Episode 11 of the talk show featuring Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor dropped earlier tonight and gave us a glimpse of the on-screen father-son duo’s off-screen bonding. As much as we love their bonding and youthful charm, the testosterone on the Koffee couch nearly choked us. In Season 7, KJo has been touching upon the topic of celebs’ sex life and while it has been fun, this episode really had us screaming – TMI, buddy, TMI!

AK And VD’s Bromance
The highlight of the episode was the bonding between Anil Kapoor and Varun Dhawan. Settling on the Koffee couch, both VD and AK opened up about working together in Jugjugg Jeeyo. Varun shared that Anil is one of the most mischievous people he has ever worked with and he brings a lot of energy to the table and is an extremely hardworking actor while Anil said that Varun is just as fun to work with as he too is passionate about giving his 100% to his work.
Varun Dhawan Ki Shaadi Ki Baatein!
Knowing Karan Johar, we all know that there’s no way he’s not going to broach this topic. When asked about his married life, Varun Dhawan told KJo that his wife, Natasha Dalal is the best thing to happen to him because “She doesn’t ask for much, just my time”. Take notes, ladies. You can be a good wife by not asking for much. 
But that’s not the only thing that will piss you off, ladies. Right after VD says his bit, Anil Kapoor jokes that Varun’s answers are scripted as he taught him to only say good things about his wife and praise her. We got that not-so-subtle dig taken at wives yet again.
Infidelity Is A No-No
Karan Johar raised the topic of physical and emotional infidelity in this episode of Koffee With Karan. We’re glad KJo is talking about important issues but Anil Kapoor joking about cheating instead of actually talking about it was a major turn-off, NGL. While both Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor agreed that they don’t endorse infidelity (but then again who does), it’s funny how VD turns defensive when Karan hints at his link-ups with actresses before he finally “settled down” with Natasha Dalal. But at the same time, it’s just as interesting to watch Varun turn the tables on Karan.
And guess what? Sexual infidelity is definitely a deal breaker for Natasha as well as for Varun’s dog since he can “sense it” and is definitely bound to inform Natasha if Varun cheats on her. Okay, Varun. That totally made sense.
Welcome To The Men’s Locker Room Talks
If all that testosterone wasn’t enough, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor talking about sex will definitely be enough. In an interesting new segment, Karan asked VD and AK to play marriage gurus and share marital advice with callers, who only called for sex-related advice (just BTW). After all that trolling for talking about sex lives of celebs on Koffee With Karan, it looks like Karan decided to take it up a notch. I think I might’ve barfed a little went Varun flaunted his “high libido” (a few too many times) and Anil Kapoor told us how sex makes him feel young. Also, AK’s pelvic thrust moves are rather unforgettable #ScarredForLife.
A Rapid-Fire Full Of Sex And Sexism
From hinting that Arjun Kapoor has been sliding into people’s DMs while dating Malaika Arora to Varun Dhawan’s sex playlist full of songs by Usher to 3 fully grown men discussing a woman’s body on a public platform, this rapid-fire was too tough to digest.
Verdict: We’re Choking On Toxic Masculinity
We’re glad that Karan Johar has celebs talking about sex and normalising it but what we do not like is the fact that these celebs are openly sharing personal details on a public platform in the absence of their partner and possibly without their consent which makes the entire situation rather questionable. Having said that, Varun Dhawan flaunting his “high libido” and “ashwagandha” tip is proof of toxic masculinity that we do not need in this world.
The worst was Karan, Anil and Varun talking about how Disha Patani has a great body and she should definitely flaunt it. Well, yes. She is flaunting it but this ain’t no boys locker room. As a woman, I find it distasteful for three men to discuss a woman’s body like that. FYI, asking Varun if he’s scared of his wife more or his dog, was not cool guys!

As a 90s kid, I’ve practically grown up watching Anil Kapoor and he has aged like fine wine but watching him do all those pelvic thrusts and talk about how sex makes him feel young was disheartening. AK will never age for us 90s kids but to watch him try so hard to not seem old actually made him seem so old! Wish AK had just been his good old self.
