5 Controversial Moments From ‘Koffee With Karan’ That Had A Long-Lasting Fallout

Koffee With Karan is one of the most popular reality shows in India. And, of course, because it is the ideal combination of entertainment and gossip. Moreover, fans get to see their favourite celebrities in their most candid avatars. The celebrities speak their heart out and have a great time with host Karan Johar. I mean there are hardly any boring episodes that I can of from all the six-season of Koffee With Karan, but I can definitely count some major spills by the celebrities that are still talked about. The first episode of the latest season is here, and I am sure this will too give us some memorable moments. However, we have decided to take a look back at all the iconic moments that the previous episodes have given us, and we still talk about them for sure.

 Alia Bhatt’s Koffee Quiz Moment

Okay, this one was legit a major fallout of the entire Koffee With Karan saga. Alia Bhatt was accompanied by Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan in the fourth season of Koffee With Karan. During the Koffee Quiz, when Karan asked “Who is the President of India?”, Alia’s reply to it still remains fresh in everyone’s mind. Soon after the episode was aired, social media was filled with hilarious memes. Alia Bhatt also made a comedy video with AIB, kinda taking a funny take on the whole controversial moment.

Deepika Padukone’s Statement On Ranbir Kapoor

The episode in the third season of Koffee With Karan which featured Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor gave us one of the most controversial statements. To Karan Johar’s question on which actor should promote which brand, Deepika Padukone mentioned her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and said that he should promote “condom brands”. Since then, a very cliche image of Ranbir Kapoor has been made for everyone. However, Deepika later clarified that it was just a joke.

Hardik Pandya’s demeaning statements On Women

Episode 12 of Koffee With Karan season 6, which featured Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul turned out to be really bad for the cricketers. The episode was majorly criticised for being demeaning towards women, as the cricketers gave some filthy remarks about women. The BCCI had also put out a statement on suspending the cricketers from some matches. Even the makers of the show had to take down the episode because of the major backlash.
