Kangana Ranaut Says Tabu Saved The Hindi Film Industry. She’s Definitely Brilliant But Isn’t This A Bit Of An Exaggeration?
There are a lot of problematic things about the Hindi film industry but one of the most notable issues is the blatant ageism that the actresses have to deal with. However, amidst all this, a lot of women have managed to hold their own. Kangana Ranaut just hailed actress Tabu for being able to hold her own in Bollywood and that she had 2 hit films in 2022.
Tabu was praised by Kangana Ranaut who hailed her as a superstar for “single-handedly saving the Hindi cinema industry.” On Sunday, Kangana claimed on Instagram that Tabu was a part of the only two Bollywood movies that performed this year at the box office which are Drishyam 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Kangana said that Tabu hit the zenith of her career in her forties which she thinks is admirable.

Kangana commended Tabu, 52, for currently looking her best. She stated on Instagram Stories that only Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Drishyam 2 were successful in Bollywood this year. and Tabu starred in both movies’ lead roles, salvaging the Hindi cinema business by herself. Kangana went on to say that Tabu is talented and reliable, so it is admirable that she was at the height of her fame at her current age while still looking great. Tabu was hailed as an inspiration by Kangana Ranaut, who also stated that she thinks women deserve far more recognition for their unshakable dedication to their work.

Tabu’s most recent appearance was in the November 18 film Drishyam 2. The movie, which also features Ajay Devgn and Akshaye Khanna, had 2022’s second-largest opening for a Bollywood production. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Tabu’s second movie this year, also had a strong opening day with a 14 crore gross. One of the top-grossing Hindi movies of 2022, the movie went on to earn more than 266 crore at the global box office.
Okay, I love Tabu abd she is an amazing actress but saying she “saved” the industry is a bit too much, isn’t it? Other than lowkey believing that Bollywood is beyond saving it is also a bit of an exaggeration to say that she saved the industry. Regardless, gotta love how Kangana randomly decides to hype people up.
