Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has been making headlines ever since her comments on Gen Z and her online rivalry with CJP spokesperson Sourav Das. Amid this, she also allegedly took a jibe at actor Sonakshi Sinha’s interfaith marriage by using the word “Islamist,” and now an old video of her describing her ideal partner has been resurfacing on social media. During an earlier chat with News24, Kangana Ranaut stated that she would like her partner to be in his early 30s and that she wouldn’t mind if he wasn’t much aware about her celebrity status. The actor said that she wanted to have a “normal life.” She further spoke about how she makes “nice chicken” and often prepares differen curries like chicken korma and chicken makhani along with Mughali food. This reel caught the attention of many after Sonakshi Sinha liked it. It quickly went viral after Ranaut’s current video about Hindu women and how her political beliefs have evolved over the years.
In her video, Kangana called out some “Hindu betiyan” in the film industry who as per her, were apolitical until they got married or became friends with “Islamist men.” These statements by her were directly linked to Sonakshi Sinha who is married to Zaheer Iqbal by many on the internet. Though Ranaut did not mention any names, she made a post suggesting that Hindu daughters must be taught by their parents about their religion and should not marry outside of it. Meanwhile, Sinha had clarified that neither her or Zaheer had converted their religion after getting married and had gone through the Special Marriage Act 1954, which allows interfaith couples to tie the knot without conversion.
