Kangana Ranaut Calls For Boycott Of “Snooty” Award Shows Like Oscars And Grammys For Not Recognising Late Lata Mangeshkar
Here we go again. Kangana Ranaut has started yet another war and this time she has taken it international. Yep, the Bollywood actress is back with yet another opinion, and this time the target is the Oscars and Grammys Awards. She recently called for a complete boycott of Oscars and Grammys since neither of them recognised the late legendary singer, Lata Mangeshkar. She went on to say how they pretend to be international award shows but still do not respect the geographical and ethnic differences.

Kangana Ranaut takes to her Instagram stories to slam Grammys and Oscars for not recognising the late Lata Mangeshkar. In her stories, the Queen actress encouraged her fans to boycott such pretentious, “snooty” international award shows that don’t respect ethnic or geographical differences.

In the first story, Kangana Ranaut shared a tweet that highlighted how after the Oscars 2022, even the Grammys 2022 failed to pay tribute to the late Lata Mangeshkar and how that enraged some Indians. The actress commented on it and wrote, “We should boycott these snooty western awards…”

In another story, Kangana Ranaut continued, “We must take strong stands against any local awards who claim to be international and yet ignore and intentionally sideline legendary artists because of their race or ideologies… both Oscar and Grammy failed to give tribute to Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar Ji… our media should totally boycott these biased local events who claim to be global awards…”
Honestly, I do understand where she comes from seeing the contribution that Lata Mangeshkar has made to the music industry but calling for a boycott is a bit too extreme. What are your thoughts on it?
