Jubin Nautiyal Dismisses Engagement Rumours With Nikita Dutta, Shares How He Handles Being In The Public Eye
Let’s be fair, as amazing as it is to be a celebrity who is well known and probably makes a lot of money, just like many things in life, it comes with its pros and cons. What would be the cons to such a lavish lifestyle? Well firstly, the fact that you’re constantly in the public eye and the media will simply not leave you alone. Moreover, the fact that this gives birth to rumours festers about your personal life. Singer Jubin Nautiyal is experiencing the same after rumours have spread that he’s engaged to actress Nikita Dutta. However, he’s come forth to clarify any misunderstandings.
When asked about his engagement to Nikita Dutta, Nautiyal clarifies that it’s all a rumour and that Nikita is a “very, very dear friend” of his. He was further asked if these rumours have affected their friendship and he says that as Nikita is an actor too, she understands how false rumours can spread.

However, Nautiyal further added that he does tend to get affected by such rumours. He explains that maybe if he grew up in a big city like Mumbai where he’d seen how the industry works, he’d be comfortable with his personal life going public. However, because he’s from a small town, he’s been raised to worry about what society will think and has always been told to keep his personal matters in the house.

Nautiyal said that his parents are unfazed by these rumours but not his relatives. Apparently, they were very offended and called him saying that they got the news of his engagement through the papers. However, he told them these were all rumours and he wasn’t engaged to Dutta.

When asked if marriage is on his mind, Nautiyal said that people have been talking about him being married since he turned 30. However, given his current schedule, he can’t see marriage happening in the near future. According to Hindustan Times, Nautiyal said, “Now is the time to work really hard on my career, and maybe a couple of years later, I’ll do it.”
