“There’s A Fear Of Over Exposure,” Says Janhvi Kapoor On Why Privacy Is Justified In Today’s Age

People nowadays are obsessed with knowing every little detail of a celebrity’s life. And that has in turn given rise to competition between all the media houses, and paparazzi who cover a celebrity’s life. In the constant race of getting exclusives, the media forgets to maintain the privacy of a celeb’s life, and many actors have outrightly spoken about it. In a recent interview with a fashion magazine, Mimi Actress Janhvi Kapoor opened up about her opinions on privacy and what she wishes to do as an actor to keep her life lowkey and happy!

Janhvi Kapoor was featured on Harpers Bazaar India’s cover for the February edition. Dressed in a stunning red dress, the actress looked breathtaking on the cover. During the interview with the magazine, the Gunjan Saxena actress dealt beautifully with the question of privacy in an actor’s life. Janhvi Kapoor revealed that over the years, she has become more reserved in her media interactions and even said that she does not prefer to do interviews. The actress also put forth her thoughts on how difficult it is to maintain privacy in the world of social media. Janhvi Kapoor expressed her wish of just living in the happy world of her acting job and then going back to journaling down her thoughts, or maybe managing her earnings, as per the Harpers Bazaar interview.

The year 2022 was a good one for Janhvi Kapoor in terms of her career as she gave out some impressive performances in movies like Mimi, and Good Luck Jerry among others. This year too, the actress has an interesting lineup of films like Mr and Mrs Mahi, Bawaal, Jana Gana Mana and so on.

The point that the actor put forth about life being over-exposed in the world of social media is absolutely right. Especially for the stars, there have been so many incidents when the media has crossed the line just for the sake of getting their pictures or shot. The length to which the media went to cover and get information about Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s wedding is a very recent example of how celeb privacy these days is not paid much attention to by the media. We would not blame Janhvi Kapoor for wishing for a life where she does her job and goes back to get some peace at home, without being bombarded by the paps on the way back!
