‘Jalsa’ Teaser: First Glimpse Of Vidya Balan As A Journalist, Shefali Shah Her Cook In Amazon Prime Video Thriller
One of the best things that have happened after OTT platforms are that creators and actors are not limited by the pressure and politics involved in mainstream media. Because of this, a platform has been given to create quality content and more people are looking towards these platforms for their entertainment. I, happen to be one of these people, and I assume that so are you. Hence, I was looking forward to some more deets about Amazon Prime Video’s Jalsa directed by Suresh Triveni and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra and Shikhaa. The intense thriller series stars Vidya Balan, Shefali Shah, Rohini Hattangadi, Surya Kasibhatla, Manav Kaul, Kashish Rizwan, Shafeen Patel, Vidhatri Bandi, Mohammad Iqbal Khan, Ghanshyam Lalsa, Shrikant Mohan Yadav and Junaid Khan. Quite a star cast, isn’t it?

The plot revolved around the hit and run case of an 18-year-old girl who starts a frenzy of an ethical dilemma between a journalist, a mother and a cop. This thriller is bound to have you on the edge of your seat.

The Jalsa teaser did what a good teaser should do, create intrigue and tease your brain. It did not give away the plot but got me hooked, not to mention how absolutely brilliant the glimpses of Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah look.
To me, Jalsa has all the potential to be a complete hit simply by the inclusion of Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah. Two very talented and accomplished actresses who have been in the business for a very long time, I cannot wait to watch more of Jalsa.
Jalsa will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from18 March 2022.
