Jacqueline Fernandez’s Laywer Says “Client Will Protect Her Dignity” But “Has Utmost Respect For Nora” On Defamation Suit
Jacqueline Fernandez who was recently co-accused in the ₹200 crore extortion case that involves conman Sukesh Chandrashekar has reportedly been caught up in another controversy. The actress has been accused in a defamation lawsuit filed by Nora Fatehi. The news was reported on December 13, Monday and a day later, Jacqueline’s lawyer has given an official statement on the whole case. He has also stated that if required, his client will reply to the defamation suit to “Protect her dignity.”
The defamation case filed by Nora Fatehi reportedly has Jacqueline Fernandez as the first accused. It has been mentioned in the lawsuit that the accused have been trying to damage the reputation of the actress and cause harm to her work in the industry. Apart from Jacqueline, the lawsuit also has the names of some media publications. This legal suit is related to the conman Sukesh extortion case, in which Nora Fatehi was also questioned by the Enforcement Directorate. However, in response to this, Jacqueline’s lawyer has said that they have not yet received an official copy of the lawsuit, and whenever that comes, the actress will reply to “Protect her dignity.”

As per the news, the lawyer has also said that Jacqueline has never spoken about the extortion case in public or in front of the media since it is a case still under judicial consideration. The lawyer also clarified that his client has not released public statements against Nora Fatehi, and instead holds a lot of respect for her. He also termed this whole situation as a “Miscommunication” and said that Jacqueline holds no intention of damaging the complainant’s reputation, however, if the need arises, she will definitely do the needful as per the law.
