‘House Of The Dragon’ Ep6: Fans Turn Ser Criston Cole And Alicent Hightower’s Obsession With Rhaenyra Targaryen Into Hilarious Memes
Oohhh, I’ve been waiting for this week like crazy. Why? Well, because the sixth episode of House Of The Dragon is here, duh. I mean, I can’t be the only one waiting for it, now can I? Having watched the episode, I can say that it definitely met my expectations. *Spoiler Alert* The episode that starts 10 years after Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Lord Laenor Velaryon’s wedding and after Queen Alicent made her first rebellion against House Targaryen, has everything you’d expect from it – drama, conspiracies, and secrets. This episode of House Of The Dragon saw a lot of changes in terms of time, actors, and plot. And with that being the case, you know for a fact that Twitter has a lot to say about it.
Episode six of House Of The Dragon brings many changes, especially with regard to the leading women – after Milly Alcock played Rhaenyra Targaryen, it is now played by Emma D’Arcy who is essaying the role, and Emily Carey’s Alicent Hightower is now played by Olivia Cooke. Both the leading women characters are now in different stages of their lives – both are mothers now who are now more sure of themselves. However, both of them have further drifted away with some really petty power moves.

With both, Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower, all grown up and empowered – thanks to the allies at each of their sides – I can see a whole new game of thrones set in motion and I’m so here for it. This episode of House Of The Dragon shows Rhaenyra giving birth to her third child and son, Joffrey, after Jacareys aka Jace and Lucerys. For the world, the father of these sons is her husband Laenor Velaryon but biologically and secretly it is Ser Harwin Strong who is the commander of the City Watch. And this is obvious when you see that all of them have inherited his dark brown hair unlike Alicent and Viserys’ three kids – Aegon, Halaena, and Aemond – who have platinum-coloured hair.
While this is going on at King’s Landing, Daemon Targaryen is in Pentos with his pregnant wife, Laena Velaryon (played by Nanna Blondell), their two daughters and their dragons. Prince Reggio offers Daemon Targaryen a permanent residence in exchange for access to their dragons. Daemon like the offer but Laena doesn’t as she wants to raise her kids in her home, Driftmark, not here.
From Alicent Hightower and Rhaenyra Targaryen’s growing rivalry to Ser Criston Cole’s changing attitude, to say that there is a lot going on in this episode would be stating the obvious. Needless to say that with all this going on, the fans of House Of The Dragon also have a lot to say about it on Twitter. Check out what they said:

not alicent pretending to have morals saying "decency will prevail" and 2 minutes later she's screaming violently at her son for not being hungry for power and forcing him to hate rhaenyra's sons just like she does 🥴
